• I’ve been working offline and went to port the website to my server today – copied across all the files, changed the config.php to reflect the database, which is updated as well….

But when I go to look at my site, it still has “wordpress” in the address, ie:

    https://www.WEBSITENAME.com.au/wordpress/about/, etc…

I’ve changed Home and Siteurl in PhPMyAdmin, and the SQL database is from the offline version – and I can’t work it out.

I can’t access my WP backend either. Help ? Can give site address if it helps.

  • When you download WordPress from www.ads-software.com & extract all the files from the archive they get extracted in “wordpress” directory.

And since you have been working offline you didn’t have to worry about it but when you upload it to your server you need to upload all the files to the root directory not in “wordpress” directory.

So what you need to do now is move all the files from yourdomain.com/wordpress directory to yourdomain.com
