I’ve fixed all the issues I was having with IE 8 compatibility except for the main menu/nav stacking instead of displaying horizontally. This also messes up the main image on the home page, if you have something that matters how it’s framed up (which I do).

(And clicking IE’s “compatibility view” makes the entire home page fall apart completely!)

I wouldn’t mind missing out on the background/bar image in the nav, if the whole thing would just go horizontal instead of vertical.

Anyone have a fix for this? Author: any chance you might write a fix for it?

Here’s my site (on test server): https://s001.janasnyder.com/~blackbea/

    Thanks.

Well, that did something different! Now IE is freezing up, then “Not Responding.”

    [shaking my fist at IE!]

But does that mean we’re on the right trail?

    Hi Jana,

I think you did something different than what I said, because I cannot load your site now, even in firefox. Would you like to create a login and password for me on your site instead, so I can take a look at it and fix the issue?

you can email the login and password to me at [email protected]

    Fixed! Thanks, Danni!

    Hi Dani,
I followed all instructions and the @media thing did the trick for me.
However in a dropwdown menu i can’t seem to access the elements in the drowpdown of the menu
    any idea ?
thank you so much for your dedication !

First, absolutely gorgeous template. I used the parallax scrolling in a really fun way. It shows up perfectly on Firefox and Chrome (of course) Also, thank you for your navigation formatting help! The site top shows up decently on IE now (I’m on IE 9).
The only thing causing headaches are the featured widgets areas. For some reason the title text on each widget gets progressively larger. First widget is large, second is larger, third is gigantic! Quite odd.
Any ideas on where I should troubleshoot? I’m going to do a bunch of element inspecting now, but if you had any ideas for directions, that would be great.
Thanks for looking, I really appreciate it.

I think I’ve found the culprit, an h1 setting I’d customized is creating that odd behavior…
I need to fix the parallax scrolling on IE too. Time to hit Google for some fixes!
