Still love plugin but searches bring media

    Still 5 Stars Plugin but my thumbnails have due to problems sometimes -1 or -2 in title slugs.
    And this media files will be shown in suggestions as founded post.
    How can I avoid this.
    Want plugin only to search posts titles not media files, never ??

    Hi there,

    the plugin uses the default search functionality WordPress comes with and doesn’t really change the post types that are included in the results. Do you possibly have other plugins installed that might expand that?

    To specify query parameters for WP Search Suggest and tweak the search to your liking, you can use the wpss_search_query_args filter too.

    I don’t know a lot about query and so but have no more plugins for search and have nothing changed there. I just wonder about founding my mediafiles by searching ;(

    I tested it again locally, and when searching for parts of an file’s name the only suggestion I get is the post title of the post it’s used in. Is that what you mean?

    Other than that I’m not sure what to tell you. Please feel free to look at the code of the plugin, it’s not much, and it does not alter the Query in any way.

    I am not a coder, I don’t understand this, Thumbnails have the same title like posts and maybe somehow it comes that there will be media found.

    I dont know how but unfortunatey madia (even if in wp uploads folder) they get also a site/page for themselve, I would’t like to have this but it is wordpress I guess.

    Have you tried deactivating all other plugins?

    I will do it with Plugin health, the problem is that I now have no example, thanks God it is not often ?? I will write when I have a one, It is OK?
