There are no known conflicts running both Akismet and Wordfence. If you’d like, you can run both Akismet and Wordfence together.

Keep in mind that Wordfence will check your rate limiting settings for possible abuse that involves too many hits to pages that may include spamming comments/submission forms and blocking malicious attacks. Meanwhile, Akismet specifically focuses on spam content within those submissions.

To sum up, we leave the choice of plugins on your site up to you.
