• This plugin has been really great for me. Even before the 3.4.1 upgrade, I considered this an absolute must, and always tell people about this plugin when they are looking for an e-newsletter solution.

The 3.4.1 upgrade was nice, but I noticed a few bugs. When copying a newsletter, the original recipient count is not retained on the original newsletter that was copied. That’s a problem if I want to track how many recipients I had each time.

There’s also a ton of functionality that I don’t use, which is why I haven’t gone with the Pro version yet. Some of the typos are disconcerting, though I understand the creator is not a native English speaker. That isn’t an excuse in my book. Ask users to proofread, and I am sure many of us would help.

Hi, thank you for your notes. About the subscribers count on newsletter they are recomputed on each saving since the dynamically change due to new subscriptions/unsubscriptions and target filter changes.

About my English of course you’re right, I’ll be grateful of any correction you want to send me.

    Stefano.

OK, on the recomputation… I still don’t understand that because previously I was always able to see the final number of subscribers I messaged. Once a campaign was sent, it was archived. Now that history is blown away. So perhaps that should be corrected. I see that as a flaw because now I am no longer able to gauge how my list is growing/shrinking.

Newsletter Diagnostic – new text for you:
If something is not working, here are some test procedures and diagnostics. But before you try these, write down any modifications or configuration changes that you may have made. For example: Did you use sender email or name? What was the return path? What was the reply to?

Hi shivasongster, I’m not following you. When you create an email and target it, you build a query that will extract the subscribers from the full list.

To show the number of subscriber targeted, every time you save the messages the query is executed to compute the total number and this number is stored.

During the sending process this number is no more recomputed and if in the meanwhile new subscribers are added, the final number of receivers can be greater than the number initially estimated.

But those number near the emails are not a measure of your subscriber count. Once an email is sent the numbers are freezed, anyway.

    Stefano.
