I bought the premium version of this over a year ago but have never had it working correctly. this page here is an example: https://news.focallocal.org/focallocal-kindness-auction/

the side bar is set to show 30 images from a category in my library where i have 120 images. it simply refuses to show more than the amount on the page, no matter what i’ve tried to do to fix it.

p.s. an image randomizer would be a very powerful and probably fairly simple feature to add to it

i’ve just noticed that since we last talked its been made possible to separate the media and posts categories. this would solve the issues i had and mean i can finally use this program.

i added the code in, and all my categories disappeared from the selector and 90% my photos from the library. as the photos were no longer showing i wasn’t able to create new categories for my media and add them in.

how can i get the photos already categorised to show up again so i can add them to the new categories? (or just copy them all over and then sort through and reorganise)

    thank you

Hi, I think your categories have “disappeared” because now you link the images to an new taxonomy (the categories separated from posts). You have to link the images again in the media library.

yes, that makes sense – although it would mean i have to have double copies of all my images online or lose all the images linked in pages and articles form the past 4 years.

is it possible to do something like duplicating the current taxonomy, and append the categories (like “cupcakes” + “images.cupcakes)

WordPress just keeps one copy of the image online. But it can link to multiple categories and taxonomies. (So don’t worry about double copies.) If you want to manually duplicate the current taxonomy and append the categories the fastest way would be to do this in the database.
