Hi, we’re having some issues with one of our websites.

We’ve been testing this plugin to see how well it works however we’re having an issue were as even though we’ve disabled the caching we’re still seeing cache version of the pages.

I’m trying to fix a display issue which I can only see when I’m logged out so it’s definitely a caching issue as it doesn’t happen when I’m logged in

Can anyone help with this its super urgent?

  • Hi there,

Could you share the website’s URL?
When disabling caching in WP-Optimize, is there an error showing?
If the usual disabling procedure doesn’t work, you can try to edit your wp-config.php and remove (or comment) the line define( 'WP_CACHE', true ); This will turn off cache.
If WP-Optimize is still enabled, it might try to re-add that line. In that case, you’ll have to deactivate the plugin.

    Marc.

    Hi Marc

Thanks for the response, I can’t really share the URL on an open public forum

There is no error being displayed when disabling WP-Optimise, I presume that the issue is something to do with the static file caching settings.

I’ve deactivated the plugin and there is no define( 'WP_CACHE', true ); in the wp-config file, yet it is still serving the generated cache files.

I’ve even deleted the cache folder but it is just recreated the next time the page is hit

    Hi Marc

It turns out that the issue isn’t WP-Optimise it is FVM.

    Apologies for wasting your time
