• Hi there,

    I uninstalled the plugin because I noticed that post images were showing their alt names in the Pinterest pop-up window after clicking ‘pin it’. At that point, the alt names weren’t very user friendly so I tried to fix the problem by editing all my images’ alt names to proper titles, but the plugin never updated. After uninstalling, deleting and installing again, the same problem existed.

    Now I’ve deleted the plugin, but the pin-it buttons are still showing. My website is https://www.shiumaieats.com

    Does anyone know what the problem is? How can I fix this? Please help!
    THANK YOU!

    Hello shiumai,
    add the following section of code in the custom css-

    .PIN_1463634397293_button_pin.PIN_1463634397293_round.PIN_1463634397293_tall{
    display:none !important;
    }

    Hi weblizar,

    Thanks for your suggestion.
    I inserted the code into Custom CSS and it’s indifferent to the pin-it buttons on my images.

    I’ve already deleted this plugin by uninstalling and deleting. I even tried installing another pin-it plugin to see if it would override, but it didn’t work.

    Is there somewhere I need to look to delete this plugin’s data from my site completely?

    Thanks again.

    Hi weblizar,

    I appreciate your help. Is there another way to resolve this without having to share my password?

    Would you be able to provide me with instructions?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello shiumai,
    our plugin uses this kind of pin-it-button on image hover, the solution of the problem is same code that mentioned above…it will hide the pin-it button present on your site. So to implement it we need to check the site.
    Thanks.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the theme review team.
