Still slows down “Checkout Process”

Hello Team, this is a feedback/improvement request related to the Woocommerce Mailerlite Plugin.

With the last update [1.2.4 & 1.2.5 (19TH MARCH 2019)], the plugin’s performance has improved quite a lot. But there are still some issues that need to be addressed.

Issue 1)

The Plugin adds an additional 1 to 2 seconds to the load time of the checkout page.

I have 33 plugins installed and the load time of the checkout page without Malerlite Plugin is below 2 seconds. When the Mailerlite plugin is installed, the load time of the checkout page increases to 3 to 4 seconds.

As the checkout page cannot be cached there is no other option but to fix the speed drain caused by Mailerlite.

The impact on the “Redirection to the Payment Gateway” is even Greater. And this is a more severe issue as the Mailerlite Plugin adds an additional 3 to 4 seconds.

Issue 2)

When the Mailerlite Service is down (API is down, or I don’t know what you call it), the whole checkout process is stalled or is unacceptably slow (The error message was “No Parse error”).

This happened to our website a couple of time in the last 4 weeks. This is a very serious problem and needs an immediate fix.

Hope you will be able to address these issues at the earliest.
