Still subscribed when unchecked

If you leave the MailPoet opt-in checkbox unchecked, you shouldn’t receive a subscription confirmation email. The subscriber will be added as Unsubscribed.

I tested it with the latest version of our plugin and it works as expected on my test site.

Can you please ensure that you have the MailPoet plugin updated to 3.75.1?

Indeed, I placed a test order without selecting MailPoet’s checkbox but still got a confirmation email.

This looks like a plugin or theme conflict. Can you switch your theme to a default one (Twenty Twenty) and disable all your plugins and see if MailPoet works?

If it does work, enable your theme and all your other plugins one after the other until MailPoet breaks again. You’ll be able to tell us what’s at fault.

Unfortunately the same thing happens when switching to Twenty Twenty-One and with all plugins disabled (except WooCommerce, MailPoet, etc).

I think I tried everything now…

Can someone help? I still have this problem. Everyone gets an opt-in email.

I even made a staging website, disabled plugins, etc. But it still happens.
