    @dylandawg I think you’re confused as Simple Local Avatars does NOT use Gravatars. The default avatar that Simple Local Avatars uses is a grey and white “Mystery Person” avatar. You can see those settings by browsing to wp-admin/options-discussion.php on your site and scrolling down to the Avatars section and with this specific setting the Default Avatar options. See a screenshot below:
