Despite not being updated for a year, it still seems to work as expected. At least, with WP 6.5.2 and the plugins we’ve got we have not had any problems so far. The logs show it caught 14 bogus orders from the fool I was seeking to block. They seem to be script generated orders, probably trying various stolen payment methods and coming from “johnsmith” and storebotmail.joonix.net domain and variation of that email. This is a good tool for blocking repeat offenders such as this.

Turns out, cancelled orders from “johnsmith” and storebotmail.joonix.net domain are from Google! Don’t block them, apparently it could lead to having your merchant account suspended, and you won’t be able to advertise.

Thank you for posting your original comment as well as your followup. This helped me a great deal with a client starting to have these kinds of orders with that exact email address. Much abliged.

Hey @zenbob1 , curious if you have found a alternative to this plugin, considering the lack of support as of lately, and lack of updates. We are also using it for our site, for the same reasons you are, and are considering moving to a different plugin (not sure which), if we do not see any activity from the developers soon. Its worked great for us.

@blueblue5 we disabled the plugin because all of the cancelled orders turned out to be from Google. They test your site with these orders, and if you block them there is a chance of them suspending your merchant account. Besides the Google test orders, we had no other repeat offenders to block so we did not require the plugin.
