  • The files aren’t available for me. You see them on your computer because they are cached. If you clear your browser settings/cache/cookies they’ll be unavailable to you.

Did you ask godaddy about this? Maybe they can help. If not, you will probably have to re-add them all manually.

Sorry to hear your site crashed! IT is always good to make sure your web host makes daily backups of your site in case anything goes wrong.

    Ahhh! I see!

Oh, they did make a back-up, and I have access to those backed-up files … but … well … it’s kinda hard to explain, and a very long story.

Long story short, I’d already deleted and reinstalled the WordPress database and ALL subsequent files on my hosting server, etc. before I realized that hosting sites have server back-up services (I’m a noob, what can I say).

Should I just completely reinstall all restored files in their entirety … ?

Oh nooooooo … this is looking like one of those questions that’ll just slide down the forum without notice …

    Hoping someone can help,

    B.

Does anyone else have any feedback on this? There’s gotta be a better way to re-sync my web photos with the images saved on my host server ??
