Stock adjustment wrong?

  • Hi. To replicate the issue place a new order and dont pay it, so it can remain with the status “awaiting payment”. In this case, the stock of the items in the order is not changed. If I manually change the status to “cancel” or “failed” (for example, if the client does not make the payment anymore), the stock of the items in the order is reducing.

    Why the stock is adjusting in this case? I dont think the behaviour is correct because the order is canceled and the stock does not have to change at all.
    We use latest WooCommerce version 4.8, but the issue is present also on the previous versions. I dont remember exactly, but this was not happening bellow version 4.

    Hi there,

    Just to check: Is that order created manually or was that placed through the regular checkout process on the front-end? Can you share screenshots of how that product is configured (especially the “Inventory” tab) as well as the settings under **WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory**?

    Finally, can you also share a copy of the status report as found under **WooCommerce > Status**?
