Stock Data 2 days or more out of date

We have implemented the stock ticker plugin and it’s working as far as displaying the correct stocks. however, the data that is being displayed is at least 2 days old and sometimes more. How can we resolve this issue? Unfortunately, for our site, 2 day old stock information doesn’t help us.
