Hello everyone, I need some help.
Today I was surprised by an email saying that there was a product sold as backorder.
I do not work with backorder products and always keep disabled the option on all products, but I got scared and hurry got to check and saw that it really was disabled.
This can not happen, I can not sell an item that I do not have in stock, this is scary!
Can anyone help me solve this or understand this?

On product: Stock managing checked, Backorder set disabled.
It is WP 4.9.1 (with no modifications)
    WC 3.2.6
Storefront theme with very little and simple customization.

    Correios (Brazil courrier)
Extra checkout fields for Brazil (adds necessary fields to Brazil)
    Payment method

    Hi @chicodarave,

On a product page in WooCommerce I tested with do not allow backorders on both of my sites and with the settings in this configuration not backorders were available on either site.

I couldn’t locate any other reports in our WooCommerce.com support channels or recently on these forums describing similar behavior which would currently isolate this to only your install at the moment.

Can you replicate what you describe on your site with regularity every-time you cross test as it’s not something which I could replicate on my installs for you?

Hello Stuart, thank you very much for your answer.

I will try to replicate the problem here… I will need to make a localhost copy as I dont want to mess with the online one, but, tell me something:
I have the PagSeguro plugin which is a payment gateway, this gateway accepts “Boleto”, I dont know if you have something like this in your country, Goggle translator translated as “Bank slip”, which is a document with barcode which the person prints and pays at bank.
This “Bank slip” can be paid some days later and also it take some days to confirm, then the plugin automatically sets the order to “processing” status.
Can the problem be this plugin?
Then I will talk with the developer which is very attentive.

    Thank you very much again.

ooops… The payment of this specific order was not by PagSeguro, it was by PayPal.
    I’m really lost ??
I dont know what to do.

Since the PagSeguro may take a couple of days to be processed, is it possible that a PayPal paid order and a PagSeguro order were “confirmed” at the same time, resulting in a double order?

    ValeDeOro.
I’m sure not… it as a sole order paid by PayPal, there was no other orders made or paid in a near date.
My shop is small and sellings are very low by now.

    Thanks for your answer.

Had you made any updates or changes to the site around the time of the sale? Do you know the inventory of the product was before the backordered sale?

    (@chicodarave)

    Hello Dustin.

What kind of updates or changes?
Stock change of this specific product: no
    Adding a new product: maybe
    Installing new plugin: no
Updating an existing plugin: probably no
Changing backorder in the product: for sure no.

You mean the stock of this product before the order?
I dont remember exactly anymore, but something like 2pcs and person bought 3pcs becoming -1.

    Thanks for your answer.
