As of recently, my inventory is not syncing from Woocommerce into Facebook. In facebook, the products say “in stock” but inventory is 0. I need my inventory to automatically sync, I cannot use some type of manual workaround. I’ve seen similar posts about this issue but haven’t been able to come across an actual solution.

This is a bigger problem now that Facebook/Instagram shopping recently updated and now my customers can shop directly within Instagram whereas before they were just being linked to my website to shop.

    Hi @debiluanne

    Thanks for your question!

First, please kindly ensure that you update your plugin to the latest version 2.4.0 as we have made improvements in terms of product syncing.

We don’t see issues in regards to product sync. I have a test store and manually updated the stock of the product to either out of stock or change the stock management at product level and set the stock to zero and then hit update the product on the product edit page, I checked on my Facebook catalog, the product was updated accordingly.

    Screenshots of my test:

Please ensure the following when you have a problem with product sync.

    • – Please check that PHP time limit is sufficient, ensure it’s set to 1200
    • – Make sure WP Cron is enabled
    • – Make sure your WP Memory is sufficient like 256 MB above

Then please try to adjust a product stock and then hit update when you’re on that product edit page, then check for that product on Facebook

Let me know how it goes.

Hi, thank you for the response. I have had my website manager do everything you mentioned. I am still having the same issue. Items that have a stock quantity in woocommerce are showing as “In stock” in my facebook catalog but with an inventory quantity of “0”.

The same items are also importing as “On sale” with the same price as the regular price even though there is no sale price in woocommerce.

    Hi there @debiluanne

First of all about your second question:

The same items are also importing as “On sale” with the same price as the regular price even though there is no sale price in woocommerce.

This is a known bug and we’re working on it, you can view the bug report here.

In regards to your first question, may I know which section in Facebook catalog, did you get the below screenshot?

    Hi @debiluanne

Speaking with Facebook support last week regarding stock, they mentioned that when products are marked as “In Stock” in Facebook but have a quantity of 0, this is expected behaviour.

Furthermore, they said this is likely related to offline shop in which case inventory doesn’t matter; the “availability” field is used instead. Technically, everyone should see an inventory count of “0”

    Hope this helps to explain.

The problem is that when an item shows a quantity of “0” but I have it in stock in my shop, my customers cannot shop via Instagram because it says “Sold out.”

See screenshot below of the same item in my instagram shop

    Hi @debiluanne

Since we haven’t heard back, we’ll mark this thread as resolved. Should you still have issues, first confirm that Facebook for WooCommerce is fully updated.
