Stop automatic zoomout

I have one map one my site with about 120 markers on it, so as my page loads, it loads each of them one by one, which means you don’t have to sit and wait for it to load all 120, which is great. But if you start browsing the map and zooming in while it’s still loading, whenever a new marker loads it automatically zooms out to show all of the markers in one screen. Is there anyway to disable this?
