• Is there a way to stop WP Twitter to autopost updated entries? If I remove an older entry from the Slider it just doesn’t make sense. I can only choose if I want to send tweets for posts and pages. It would be great if I could also choose between “when published” and “when edited” (with seperate tweet texts, preferably).

    TIA

  • +1 on limiting auto-posts. I’d like to only have a post tweeted when it’s new. If I edit it (typo, etc.) I don’t want it re-published on Twitter.

Awesome plugin BTW. Hope this suggestion can be implemented soon!

Okay, I believe I’ve found a work-around for the issue of updated posts being “re-tweeted” unnecessarily.

A new post tag needs to be created and then limited. I called mine “update“.

    1. Go to WP Admin > Settings > WP Twitter and add the tag “update” under the “Limit Updating” area (bottom of settings page). https://i.imgur.com/u4bTscC.jpg

    2. When a post needs to be updated add “update,” (with the comma) as a new tag before updating/publishing the post. https://i.imgur.com/24GjCKA.jpg

So far that has prevented any posts that I’ve modified from being auto-posted to Twitter.

    Hope that helps!
