Rank Math sitemaps are designed to keep all the newer pages in the page-sitemap1.xml , and thus all the sitemaps get changed. Let newer pages add to the newer sitemaps, and do not change the old ones. I think this might make google mark our content duplicates, or whatever.

    Hello @brvnbld ,

Thank you for contacting the support.

The new pages are added to the page-sitemap1 to make sure that Google crawls them on priority. If the new URLs are not in the first sitemap and your site’s crawl budget gets exhausted before Google reaches to the second sitemap, it will delay the indexing of the new URLs.

That’s the reason newly published and updated URLs are given priority and added to the first sitemap.

Hope that clarifies your doubts. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch in case you need our assistance with anything else.
