Stop Google indexing thousands of future events pages

Hey,

here , too. We′re started our site a few days ago and now there are more than thousand empty event-Pages within Google-Index.

What does this has for consequences?

Should we have to block the calendar-directory inside the robots.txt and ask Google to erase them from index or is it better to let them stay?

What exactly does this mean for SEO?

We try to indicate to search bots that empty pages (such as future/past days with no events) should not be indexed. Can you link to your site @simonhunter so we can see if this is not in place or is being overridden in the context of your site?

@bbindikator: please respect the guidelines in the forum welcome and create a new thread of your own. If you could link to your site and the main events page in particular that would be useful, rather than linking to a page of search engine results (I’m guessing https://balance-circle.de is your site but could not locate any events – remember we are not familiar with all languages here!).
