Stop Indexing WordPress Attachment Pages

    We’ve unchecked the images in post and attachment in the sitemap settings, will that be enough to resolve this problem? https://prnt.sc/lui081 Or is there a way to “Redirect attachment URLs to parent post URL?”

    Hi,

    By removing the Attachment sitemap Google will not push the attachment pages in the search results anymore but will not remove the indexed ones.

    If you want Google to remove the attachment pages from search results, go to Squirrly > Patterns, select the post type Attachments and switch off “Let Google to index it”. Save the settings and in 3-7 days you should see the results.
