Stop overwriting SKU on product update

    Hello, I wish to know if there is a way to stop this plugin overwriting SKUs which have been automatically imported by other means like XML importing when updating a product. Here’s a scenario.

    We import a lot of good thru XML from distributor. Products contain SKU. We edit product description. Save. Original SKU is lost and replaced by a slug-generated SKU. This is very bad.

    Is there a way to only generate SKU for a new product that you enter manually yourself? Or simply NOT generate a SKU on update and do it only on creation?

    I understand that you are having issues where when you go to update a description of a product, and save, then the original SKU gets changed and this is causing issues for your business. My apologies that this is happening.

    The way our plugin works, is if you update a product that already has an SKU you’ve assigned, it will be overridden. We recommend?selectively enabling and disabling?the plugin if you want to generate SKUs, then be able to override them.
