Yesterday I used Broken Link Checker to update about 60 broken links causing 60 fresh posts to instagram even though the option to post on update is disabled.

This also happens on most normal post updates after it’s published to causing duplicates. Any thoughts? Do I have to uncheck the Post to Instagram with every update?

    Hi,

Please note that every post which is not posted to Instagram by the plugin, will be considered as “NEW”. After posting, plugin will mark it as OLD.

There is another option available for every post either to post it to Instagram or not. Its near publish area or at right sidebar in post edit mode. You can check the option and press save button for every single post whether to post it to Instagram or not. It will have high priority even its a new post or an updated post.

Let us know if this helps.

Ugh. Thanks for the reply. I suppose I could update the database so that all posts are “old”.

If you can update database, that will be great.
You need to add post meta ‘_wigp_ig_posted’ for every post with value ‘checked’ and it will be marked as ‘OLD’

    Regards
