Stop Refreshing after Match has ended

  • Hello,

    How can we stop the match for refreshing every interval we have set, after the match is finished?

    Even when the match is finished, the Live commentary section keeps refreshing every 30 seconds(that is my interval) which puts and unnecessary workload for the server.

    HI @redwolfcy, I’ll check it out and make a way to stop the live pings on the server where there is no more live matches.

    Thanks @ibenic ! That would be really great.

    I was converting the template to showcase as a timeline and it got me really annoyed refreshing every 30seconds and losing my selected class to change the css ??

    How can we override the live-commentary__premium_only.php from the child-theme ?

    I have copied the file and added it with the same path in my child theme but it does not override it. I need it because on your next update, we will lose our changes.

    A feature request that you should consider is something that works by default in WP Classic Editor.

    That is when you copy-paste a twitter feed in the editor, or a youtube link, or a FB post permalink, it automatically embeds that.

    Is that something that you would consider doing soon or even do just for us for a fee?

    Hi @redwolfcy,

    have you tried copying the template with the same file name under your theme’s folder inside of folder sportspress? This path should be something like: your_theme_name_here/sportspress/live-commentary__premium_only.php?

    The twitter feed and such are already on my features that I wanted to implement but have yet to tackle that. That’s a good idea as well!
