• In the past, I’ve had several topics that I started, presenting problems I’ve had working with WP and seeking answers to those problems. Several of them were sabotaged by others presenting their own problems. What happens when they do that is my problems get “lost in the dust”. Here are two recent examples of what I’m talking about:
    Wanted: A better category dropdown
Process to Embed WP into an Existing Website
What should I do when that happens? Should I begin additional topics repeating the same problems?

  • Equally, it can be difficult to then answer everyone in a complex thread.
If you think your’s have been lost, then either bump it – and give it a couple of days if what you want is slightly out of the ordinary – and highlight your issue again, or start another thread ??
Those of us answering don’t only check the first page of each forum, so just because something has dropped off the front page, especially at busy times, is no reason to then bump something straight away. (This last bit is not directed at you pezastic, it’s more a general comment)

“sabotage”? I reaally have nothing to say..
If you feel that your issues have been lying idle for too long, then just post again, in the same thread, i guess! Tact would be nice.. not an “OY! wake up!” k? o.o

Thanks for the advice. I have to say that these WP forums are truly the most civilized I’ve seen. I’ve found that many support forums for other applications tend to have regulars who give that, “Why don’t you search for the answer first?” stock reply. Sometimes I feel that they are just doing that to up their total posts count, as anyone with half a brain would have already searched for an answer before posting an inquiry. Nonetheless, I still wish that people here would start their own topic when they have a question, instead of adding it to mine. IMHO, it just makes things a bit more organized for everyone.
