Stop searching, you’ve found the solution! 5/5

  • After trying 3 or 4 different solutions that didn’t make any improvements on my site whatsoever, I installed ‘WP YouTube Lyte’ and within 5 minutes my page was SO MUCH faster!

    My page used to be so slow, that Google’s PageSpeed Insights would sometimes time-out trying to analyse it! But now, the individual 10 x 550kb video embed players are completely gone from the page.

    My website uses the DIVI theme, so I simply used the shortcode (with the YouTube video #) added to a Divi CODE module. Very quick & easy.

    Ideally, we could use the shortcode to specify a custom thumb, and the plugin author was very quick to respond to my question (and equally quick to delete the old support thread that I’d hijacked! ??).

    But with such good speed improvements out of the box, and a foolproof implementation method, this plugin is an instant 5/5 ?????.
