I would like to disable only the email subscribers option to stop sending emails of my new post to subscribers. The reason is that I am using mailchimp now for this. However the subscribe to comments is great and I would like to continue using this so I don’t want to deactivate the plugin.

    Please help.

    Hi there,

I’m afraid that this isn’t currently possible. However, there is a workaround that might be able to help you out. If you deactivate the subscriptions module before publishing a post then the post won’t be sent to your subscribers. Then, you can reactivate it after your post has been published.

You won’t lose any of your subscribers, and your subscribers won’t receive any posts that are published while the module is deactivated.

Please let me know how that works for you! And if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give me a shout.

    Hi there,

Dear Ryan is there any bright future for us that you will improve this feature?
Every day I post between 10 – 30 new products / posts and I have to completely deactivate mail sending because of that.
Switching on/off is not really a solution and you know it.

    Cheers

…oh heah, and my registered users can UL new product 24/7…

I forgot to mention that and it’s quite important regarding to off/on “solution”.

Hi Kurnik. I actually ended up disabling this subscribe feature via Jetpack completely both for comments and posts. I now use mail chimp and set it to share new posts via my RSS feed. I guess for your purpose you would need to make sure that these products don’t show up on your RSS feed if you use an option like I did.

I use another plugin “subscribe to comments” to get my users to subscribe to comments if they wish.

    Hi Kayjenx,

thank you for your answer and sharing your knowledge.

Like you I have disable Jetpack as well. I the matter of fact I have enabled only 3-5 Jetpack function and thinking about removing it completely. Never mind.

I will try plugin “Simply Exclude” from the posts you published. And maybe someday after start thinking to enable something like “Subscribe to comments”. Right now I just want to get rid of this spam.

    Thank you again.
    Cheers
