Stop sending emails to followers?

I este up a new blog on WordPress and I’m copying my posts from another blog platform onto WordPress.

My followers are all going to be spammed while I copy over posts and play with getting the blog set up.

Is the any way that I can “block” or stop sending emails to followers while I finish copying over and setting up? I’ve looked around but can’t seem to find the right setting, but I’m probably issuing something obvious!
