Stop the image on the notification from being clickable.

Hi there, I have turned off the option under the Design tab called “Image redirect” and still when the image on the notification is clicked the user is taken to the single product page. For now I would not want the image to be clickable? Is there a way to stop the image being clickable as this is not working right now.
