  • Seems that I can’t post a new post because I posted one 4 years ago with 5 stars – at that time! so I reply to yours – same subject – hope you don’t mind ??
I used to LOVE Elementor! Still do. But something changed with these guys. Did they sell? Changed developers and support staff?
For 2 months like other people here sites keep on breaking with the latest updates. I have about 100 websites – clients’ websites. They kept on breaking one after the other and get calls from upset clients!!! Contacted Elementor support (pro) multiple times – they keep on saying it is because OTHER plugins did not follow elementor updates. Like it is not me it’s your fault. Does not change the problem that websites breaks BECAUSE of elementor updates. NOT ONE excuse for their screw ups!!

Seems to calm down a bit now.

But yesterday I started a new website – I built my design exactly the same way as usual same plugins … on mobile everything was screwed up. EVERYTHING!!! The same sections that are working perfect on other sites were not responsive at all – tried to change the width of the column to 100 so all columns go below the other on mobile to make it clean .. cant change it – does not respond – so the desktop design completely pushed all together on one line on the mobile size. Horrible. I tried everything. Disable all plugins – disabled experiments – everything.
Finally, I contacted support and ask them to check what could cause the problem since the same design was working on all other sites I tested. Same theme – same plugins same everything but all wrong on that new site. Could not figure it out.

They replied that was my fault because I did not use flex – my design was wrong .. then why is it working everywhere else??

And that was it – never replied again. Just ‘don’t care”
The support was fantastic before. Now it is AWFUL. Again .. your fault – not ours and no move at all to try to understand why it does not work on this site and works on others.
AWFUL support. For the price, elementor is becoming not worth it – neither for their constant screwed-up updates that break sites and now for less than perfect support.
    What happened to them???`

Elementor made some big shift about 8 or 9 months ago and now it seems like about every 2 or 3 updates my website crashes as their update causes a fatal conflict with other plugins. Worse yet, it’s taking them longer and longer to even accept that they are the source of the problem and actually address it, taking weeks and even over a month sometimes before they finally do fix it. Add to that the fact that this plugin is becoming an increasingly larger resource hog that is slowing down our page load times, it’s becoming practically useless.

And don’t even get me started on their customer service and refund policies which are useless and borderline criminal.

What was the big shift 8-9 months ago?
I completly agree with all of you. the new updates are a mess. everything is something important broken. when a field is not working correctly ok, a bug can always happen. but at the moment basic functions like css creation for mobile devices are completly broken. I hope they can get back the quality of elementor of one year ago. then you didn’t have to think about updates because everything was always working.
