    Hello,

I noticed an error on checkout that dropped our conversions..

    This is the error :
“This merchant account is not authorized to create merchant-initiated billing arrangements. Please contact PayPal support and request access to referral transactions.”

I replaced plugin by this one and everything is works :

    Hi @izna1993

Per the notification, you don’t have reference transactions enabled for your PayPal account. Reference transactions are required when you’re vaulting the customer’s payment method. Vaulting means it’s being stored so it can be charged at a later date, for subscription as an example.

So on Nov 4, you probably added a product to your site that requires vaulting or you’re using a 3rd party plugin like Upsells that require a vaulted payment method.

Why did you think this was a plugin bug or issue? The message is telling you what the issue is and how to resolve it.

    Thanks,

A quick look at your post history shows you are in fact using Funnel Kit which requires payment methods to be vaulted in order to process the Upsell on the Upsell page.

Per the notice provided by the plugin, you simply need to contact PayPal support and request reference transactions be enabled.

    Thanks,
