‘Ajax Load’ is an option provided to overcome caching plugins or server side caching, DNS caching via cloudflare, varnish cache etc from caching the counter (and not seeing it update each time a page or post is open in the browser.

Ajax Load prevents it being cached, as the count is added after the page load and hence is not cached.

The translation come from WordPress – I see that current there is a translation for the Russian Today’s views https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/page-views-count/dev/ru/default?page=3

I am not sure why your install is not pulling that.

This thread is heading OFF topic now – and the todays views issue has been posted as a bug report on the plugins Github Repo https://github.com/a3rev/page-views-count/issues/9

So I will mark it as resolved- because Turning on the Ajax Load option reolves the issue – which is a caching issue and why we have that Ajax Load option to overcome strong caching plugins and methods.

Please open another support ticket about the translation as it is a separate issue – if it persists.
