    Hello,

When going to the /wp-admin URL, it takes a long time to load the login page, then when loaded and entering login credentials, there is a long wait before the 2FA field to enter the code in comes up. The email is never sent also. I deactivated the plugin through the backend as I couldn’t log in to my site. When it was deactivated, I had no issue with page loads and logging in.

I never had an issue before so I am not sure what the problem is. However, I did migrate to another server last week and now use LiteSpeed Webserver + LSCache. But, everything was working fine until today.

Thank you for using our plugin @carmpocalypse

I am sorry to read about your issue. Offhand it is hard to tell what could be causing the issue, although it is clearly something related to the migration.

Is there anything different between the old setup and new one, apart from the hardware? You mentioned that you now use the LiteSpeed WebServer + LSCache. Did you change anything else with the migration, maybe install another plugin, or change something in the theme during the migration?

Can you try the following test:

    1. Launch a new browser tab and the browser tools
    2. Click on the Network tab
    3. Load the login page and export the results to a HAR file
    4. Activate the WP 2FA plugin and repeat the above test.

Compare the results of the HAR files. Do you see any script / element that is causing the delay? If you get stuck you can always send us the HAR files for analysis at [email protected].

For security reasons please do not share such files publicly on these forums.

We look forward to hearing from you.

The loading issue was in fact LSCache and had nothing to do with the 2FA plugin. I made some cache exclusions which resolved that issue. The emails not being sent, I believe the problem is DNS propagation from updating them and nameserver changes. I am going to resolve this for now as I believe I narrowed it down to DNS issues affecting emails and the loading issue was resolved with exclusions. I will wait a couple of days and hopefully everything resolves.

I am glad to read that the issue was not from our plugin @carmpocalypse

Indeed, DNS propagation can always create problems when migrating. All the best and let us know should you need anything else from our end.
