• I love this playlist, but it stopped working after the last update. The playlist shows up in Safari and Firefox for Mac, but the player itself doesn’t. There are no js errors, however there are 18 CSS errors.

I’ve disabled all other plugins and went to the default theme. Still nothing. Too bad, I really liked it, but it looks like something broke in the last update. (I even tried it on a fresh install of wordpress just to make sure it wasn’t something with the site I was working with.)

Appears to work fine on PCs though, just not Macs or Mobile.

Sorry to hear you’re having issues after the latest update. I’ve tested in Chrome, Firefox and Safari on a Mac, as well as an Android device, and it appears to be working fine.

Perhaps its the audio format or file you used? Have you tried a file from a different source?

Also, could you check this demo playlist and confirm whether it works or not? https://demo.audiotheme.com/americanaura/playlist/

    Thanks,
    Brady

    Hi Brady,

Yeah, I tried changing audio formats and replaced them with different ones to test. I also just tested it from an older computer and it actually works on the old version of Safari if I use one of the default wordpress themes, but if any other theme I use, it stops working. Very strange. On my brand new mac it isn’t working at all, but I’m not getting any errors in on the JS at all, just a ton of CSS errors.

Your demo link isn’t working either. The playlist appears, but there is no player above it. I am running a test here: https://carenlevine.com/preview2014/?page_id=46

This is turning out to be pretty strange. Our demo uses MP3s and appears to work everywhere for me. I have a fairly new MacBook Pro with the latest browsers as well.

Your demo is using Ogg files, which seem to work everywhere except Safari. However, I’m having trouble getting the native audio player in WordPress to even play an Ogg file in Safari (they’re both based on MediaElement.js).

One issue is that your theme seems to be setting .mejs-container to a height of 40px, which prevents the player from showing in most browsers. The PJAX loading effect may also be conflicting with the JavaScript in Cue when navigating to that page.

I see the other player is working (it’s based on jPlayer), but it appears to be using an MP3 fallback rather than the Ogg file.

I’ll do some more testing when I can get to it, but that’s what I’ve found out so far.
