Stopped working after upgrade to PHP 8.1

    Hi,
    I was using this very useful plugin to generate a dynamic qr code from a shortcode (WP Referral Code) in a Buddypress custom function, and it had been working fine, but I had to update to PHP 8.1, and now it has stopped working. I tried the widget instead, but that also didn’t work, so I am guessing that your plugin does not work with the updated PHP, which is a shame. I hope you are able to resolve it, but for now I have to do without. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the problem.

    I am currently working on the new version, and I am testing on PHP 8.1.2 but I have no errors or malfunctions on my side.

    If for you the problem comes from my plugin, do you have the possibility to report the returned error?

    Hi @kayastudio,

    I’m afraid I don’t; I was under a little time pressure to finish so I didn’t have time to fully investigate, and found a php code alternative and just uninstalled your plugin. It is entirely possible that there was a conflict with the theme or another plugin though. If I get the chance I will try it again and let you know.

    Indeed, I think the problem may be a conflict, as there are no PHP 8.1 errors on my tests as mentioned earlier.
