Our FAQ’s stopped working. I just updated the plugin, but I’m not sure if it was working in the previous version. I’m getting all sorts of cookie errors though in the console. Any ideas why it is only showing one FAQ all of a sudden?

Update: This seems to be an issue in Chrome and Safari only. The FAQ’s are showing up in Firefox. In Safari and Chrome, it loads in and then disappears, only showing the first category. Any idea what might be causing the issue?

    Hi lotsa,

I’m not at all sure how I missed your previous message. I’m sorry about that. The FAQs at the URL you provided seem to now be displaying correctly for me. Have you changed anything since your last message?

Sometimes a conflict with another plugin can cause such problems. We do use JavaScript to make the toggle and other features function, so it isn’t unheard of for another plugin or your theme to have conflicting JavaScript. If you’re still experiencing issues, then, as a test, could you disable all your plugins, except ours, and see if that makes a difference? From there, you would need to activate your plugins one by one until the issue reoccurs.

Also, are you by any chance using a cache plugin? If so, could you delete your cache and see if that makes a difference?

Hi! I did disable my cache plugin and I cleared cache as well. It seems to work in Firefox ok, but in Chrome and Safari it only displays one cateogry and question. We have many others published on here. I disabled a few plugins to see if there was a conflict, but every one of them. I will go through that again.

Hello, I disabled all plugins and it is still not working. I also know it is not my custom theme… because no changes have been made to the theme and it was working previously. As I mentioned, it is only happening in Chrome and Safari and i am getting a lot of javascript errors associated with the plugin:

I’m not sure what to tell you. There is no global issue like this. We have no other reports of anything like this, and I’ve never seen this issue before. It is 100% being caused by something specific on your site. These are the red errors I see when I look at the developer console while on your FAQ page (using Chrome):

I don’t know what VM269 is, but it’s not from our plugin, and it’s causing all kinds of JavaScript errors, exactly like I said there might be in my first reply.

For the yellow warnings you referenced, did you actually click on the link to view the code it’s stemming from?

If you do, you’ll see some emoji code setting, which is not from our plugin.

If you deactivate all other plugins, and those errors/warnings are still there, then the logical conclusion is that it might be coming from the theme. Just because you had no issues previously with the theme doesn’t mean that there is no possibility of an issue now. We’re just trying to troubleshoot here. If you can’t test by temporarily activating a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Twenty, then there are no possible further troubleshooting steps.

Thanks for your reply. I honestly can’t figure out what’s causing the issue, so I just rebuilt it as a custom post type. Thanks for your help!
