Stopped working with WP update 4.7

The plugin was working like a charm until the recent WordPress update to v. 4.7. Now it shows up on public-facing pages for logged in subscribers, but won’t show up on public-facing pages for administrators (unless they are in the WordPress application).

I figure this is a WordPress compatibility problem since the bar remains even if I unclick the “Show Toolbar when viewing site” option on a user profile.

Have you heard of any similar issues from other users or have a solution? Thanks!
