Stopping Email Notifications

  • I have admin privileges for a site I maintain but am receiving all their email notifications also (including spam).

    Is there a way I can maintain admin access but stop receiving the emails?

    This should be an easy thing to do but i cannot find a solution. I have enough of my own junk without someone else’s.

  • Add some spam defending plugins too.

    The notification email is:
    Dashboard > Settings > General:

    E-mail Address 	xxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxx
This address is used for admin purposes, like new user notification.

    I suggest that you change it to use a secondary email address of yours.

    Yes, and that is set to the site owners email so cannot be changed. My email address is only found on my profile page but as admin I also seem to automatically receive notifications.

    The profile email field cannot be deleted.

    Are the emails coming from a form of some sort from the site ?

    Or are they just straight notifications of posts / comments ?

    Just straight notifications of posts.

    I do maintenance work on the site so removing my admin privileges would be a real pain, thought that looks like the only solution.
