Hi I am trying to add a local inventory feed and I get the error “Invalid or missing required attribute: store code” in Google Merchant Center

I have tried to add the optional attribute “shop_code” and used the static value of my store code from GMB. GMC is Linked to GMB but I still receive the error

    Please advise

    Hi @jeffc2sky,

Can you check if the shop_code is actually in the feed and has the GMB as value, by opening the feed view?

If it’s not, please refresh the feed once with CNTRL-F5.

If you see it correctly in the feed, Google sometimes needs some time to process new feeds. If it takes to long you need to contact Google support to sort the issue out.

Let me know if the feed is correct or not.

    Hi Michel,
Thank you for your reply and this plugin is amazing and straight forward to use only this small issue that I am having. Unfortunalety even after a refresh the store code does not show in my feed it doesnt seem to have a column for this anyway in my “modify columns section” unlike the other attributes i have given such as google product category, mpn, product type
Let me try to be clear with how I have the exact set up.
On GMB I have entered a store code “Overide01”
On the wp feed manager settings I have added the optional attribute shop_code and selected fill with static value and in the box provided entered the exact same code “Overide01”
I regnerated my feed and done a new fetch now on both the primary feed and local inventory feed. I have no issues on the primary feed all are 100% but my local inventory feed shows critacl error on all products.
Other things i should note to you are that for the local inventory feed I am using the same URL as i do for the primary feed so not sue if this has an effect
Also my GMB is not yet verified as I am still awaiting the verification code
Would either of these 2 points raised have an effect

    Thanks for your assistance

    Hello Michel,
Thanks a lot for the plugin, it is perfect. I also got this error.
I am trying to show the catalogue in GMB. In order to do so, I have added shop_code + the shop code in my GMB account but I get the error anyway.
Is it shop code or “store code”? I can’t find any Optional attributes with the name “store code”.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Regards!

    Hi @seosve,

It should be shop_code and you should enter your shops code as source.

Let me know if that helps.

    Hi Michel,

I keep revieving the same error in the local inventory:
Invalid or missing required attribute: store code

In my feed I have the line right:
    <g:shop_code>Same text than in GMB</g:shop_code>

I have also my GMB and my Merchant Center account connected, so I can’t tell what is the problem.

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello @seosve,

If the attribute in the feed is correct, there is not much I can help you with. You should contact your Google support service. I’ve heard they are usually very helpful.

    Hello @michael,

I have talked to Google support service and they told me that the code should be:
    <g:store_code>Same text than in GMB</g:store_code>

    instead of:
    <g:shop_code>Same text than in GMB</g:shop_code>

Is there a way to add that code in the plugin?

    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Regards

    Hi @seosve,

In the next update I will include the store_code attribute to the attributes list.

In the mean time you can open the following file on your server: ‘wp-content/plugins/wp-product-feed-manager/includes/application/google/google.txt’. In that file, at the bottom, you can change shop_code to store_code. Be sure NOT to add any (empty) row at the end of the file, so just change the shop_code to store_code. When that’s done you should have an store_code attribute in your list.

Let me know if that worked.

    Hi @michel-jongbloed,

Thanks a lot for all your help. It worked wonderfully.

    Your plugin is awesome!
