    Hi @bastien31,

In this case, I would suggest making the consent checkbox required, whereby consent is ‘implicit’ when a form is sent.

It would be advised as well, minimizing the data stored of your users.

This is a quick manual to see if you need consent at all; https://complianz.io/do-i-need-a-checkbox-on-my-contact-form/

    Thanks.

My question was to understand if Complianz could store the consent related to this checkbox?

I don’t see how to plug Complianz with this checkbox if the checkbox is added in the registration process of WordPress. Is it possible?

    Hi @bastien31,

We don’t store any data in the back-end. In most cases storing data, even related to consent registration is overkill and does not conform with the data minimization principle explained in the GDPR.

I understand this is related to users who register an account on your WordPress website, and this is the default registration process? Or do you use a plugin?

    regards Aert

We don’t use anything for the moment.

The client wants to add a checkbox during the registration process, separated from the General Conditions of sales checkbox, to ask the user if he consents to future marketing and commercial actions.

He want to keep a trace of the value of this checkbox, to be able to prove a user consented for these actions.

I read on some websites that you have to keep track of consents like these (for example, you have to store the consent of someone who subscribed to the newsletter).

    Does it make sense?

I think we are going to code it ourselves and to store the consent in the wordpress database. I think it could be GDPR compliant if all the process is documented and checked.
