Store Locator Plus – Ver 1.9 – Change to link addresses to maps

I am trying to change our company’s Store Locator to a more basic address link to map. Is there a process that I can use the Manage Locations info and set each map longitude and latitude and then link it straight to the map? I already have the “address or zip code” searchable but I wanted to set up a search by state. (I couldn’t find out easily how to do this) My next option was to place state names (abbreviated because we have over 400) in a drop down menu, then people could find a state name, click on it, find the address or store name and click on that, and the store would show up on the map. Am I doing this wrong? The point is to make this easier visually. Thanks for any help!
