    Hello,

Since last update I am getting a security warning from a security plugin. Basically it happens that the “Store Manager” page gets updated at what it seems any visit.

    Example message I get:

    Reverse IP: ip-54-36-150-185.a.ahrefs.com
    Date/Time: June 9, 2019 4:04 pm
Message: Page was updated; ID: XXXX; name: Store Manager

    Hi,

Well, if this page updated then what issue with this?

    How this is security concern!

Between, this page has nothing except a short code – [wc_frontend_manager]

    Don’t worry, it’s nothing serious.

    Thank You

    Hi,

I didn’t mean that this was a security issue.
I meant that after the last update this plugin interferes with security plugins that detect unwanted changes in WordPress installations. The result is that a webmaster who wants to get email notices of unwanted changes in the posts, now ends up in getting tons of emails.

    – Opps! Change was required for this update, but why tons of emails for this!
WCFM new update created 2 new tables for site.

Security plugin caught these as “unwanted”, but actually these are required changes.
Possibly, as these are by program and not by manual so it’s not understand the purpose.

    Thank You

I’m not sure why that happens. I only know that I received like 500 emails already and I would not like to disable the security plugin feature.

As you noticed there is only a shortcode in the page, so I don’t know why the page should be updated at any visit.

I am not receiving any additional email now. I’ll keep you posted.

Unfortunately this started again. Have you figured what the cause could be? What’s new in the plugin that is triggered by site visitors?

That’s really strange! Possibly that security plugin has some issues, is this also updated recently?

For one issue one or two email is good enough, why 500 emails?

Please contact that plugin forum as well.

    Thank You

Hi, I have checked the post table in the db and it actually shows that the store manager page gets modified (last update a few minutes ago according to post_modified column). So the security plugin is right in notifying the change.

May you check in your demo installation whether that happens there too?

    Hi,

    That’s really strange!

Can you please delete WCFM installation folder via FTP or cPanel and do a fresh installation.

Don’t worry, no data will be hampered.

    Thank You

    Hi,

If you not yet reinstall WCFM, then please update this to 6.1.6

Hope this will resolve for you, we have added some additional checking for this.

    Thank You
