    Hi,

    I want to use the built-in WooCommerce store notice to inform about vacation (thus no shipping).

    But I ask myself, will this notice ever shown again to a visitor if he/she clicked it away once?

    e.g.

    • Store notice enabled for 2 weeks in April
    • Visitor sees it and clicks it away
    • Store noticed disabled by shop owner in Mai
    • Store noticed again enabled in August
    • Same visitor comes again to the shop
    • Will he/she see the store notice again?
      It probably is set with cookies – if so he/she will never see it again if I am not mistaken. Then the entire feature would be kind of useless.

      Interested, what’s your take on that.

    Thanks for your question and the example.

    Store notice enabled for 2 weeks in April → Visitor sees it and clicks it away

    The visitor will not see it again within those two weeks.

    Store noticed disabled by shop owner in Mai → Store noticed again enabled in August → Same visitor comes again to the shop

    The same visitor will see the notice again now. If he clicks it away now it will not appear for him again now, but it will appear again after the shop owner disables and reenables it.

    It is great that you found the documentation. It will help with setting up and scheduling the notice, but the question in this thread can be checked with experimentation.

    Thanks for explaining – it’s true that many things can be figured out by experimenting, but I find myself experimenting quite a lot to find the answers – perhaps this information can be included in the documentation.

    To sum up, that means disable/enable will trigger something (reset cookie or something the like) to show the notice again. That’s very good to know, and the way how it should work from my point of view.
