• So I have woocommerce plug in installed and its working great, but it’s doing more than what I want at this point.

I don’t want to have the whole checkout on my site. I don’t mind making product pages right now, even though I don’t want them to display. What I am looking for is to have the store page and then when you click on the item, it takes you to a different site that sells the product. How do I go about doing this?

On a related note, since we’re not selling the item directly right now (we will in the long run), is there a way to get rid of the ‘cart’ link on the page?

    Thanks for the help!

    Any suggestions?

You can make the product “external” so clicking on add to cart would link them to another site that actually sells them. This would bypass your checkout.

Awesome! Didn’t even see that option. A couple other questions if you don’t mind.

What if I don’t want it to go to the product page? Let’s say I want to go straight from the store page to the external link. Is that possible?

Also, I don’t think the buy button is very obvious when you set it as an external link. Instead of just saying the product name, is there a way to make it say “Buy Now” or something similar?

    Thanks!

Oh and what if I don’t want the button text under the product on the store page?

    Thanks so much!

Well I figured out those last couple questions so no need to answer. But new question! lol

Is there a way to get a menu bar going down the left side and have categories or something like that? Think amazon search on the left side.
