• Hi, I created a storefront child theme, and now whenever I go to customize the footer:

    Background color
    Heading color
    Text color
    Link color

It shows in the preview window the colors I want, but when I save and publish it reverts to the default colors.

Any idea on how to stop this from occurring?

the child theme was made from StorefrontVersion: 1.5.3

  • Hi . . . I am having the same problem. Created a Child theme and then had to change color settings again. I change the color settings in the customizer but they do not change in the footer.

I am updating my website to Storefront from Gridiculous. My website was created a year or two ago. I activated and added products and settings, but never actually activated the woocommerce shopping cart for purchases as I opened an Etsy shop. All of my themes and plugins are up-to-date. I was wondering if I needed to deactivate the plugin and reactivate it but would that delete all of the products and content as well as resetting the settings? I am afraid it will.

Because I was struggling with website design, I did not understand child theme and actually made changes to the parent theme. I remember struggling with colors for woocommerce that did not work with my theme and also trying to get rid of breadcrumbs:)

I too am having the same problems. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks…https://www.teacozyshop.com

I can’t believe no one has replied to this issue. I’m having the same issue as well. I was hoping to use storefront, but I now will have to use my old theme instead since there isn’t a fix for this or rather none of the developers have attempted to find a solution
