    Pemalinks: Post name
I am using a static front page [but the problem persists if not]
    Polylang Settings:
The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks
    Detect browser language [Deactivated]
Activate languages and translations for media [Deactivated]
Custom post types and Taxonomies [posts selected x6 times, Portfolio selected] also [categories selected x6 times, portfolio categories selected]
Actually I am a bit confused why the custom Posts and custom Posts categories appear 6 times [6 check boxes]

The problem started as soon as I installed the Story Theme by Pexeto.
Story theme claims to be compatible with WPML which is my kind of check for buying a theme that will be compatible with Polylang.

The language switcher always links to the language specific home page rather than the page/post I am at.
The problem persists at both the top main menu and the bottom footer menu.

I have; it doesn’t provide a resolution though, does it?
What are you proposing exactly? To install an older version of polylang?
It is clearly stated here that support is only provided for the latest version.

As your theme is a premium theme, only your theme author can test its theme and Polylang as Polylang is freely available.

That makes sense, but on the other hand it’s the plugin that is not working and the theme providers clearly state that they do not offer support for plugins.

In any case, I have to thank you for this freely offered and awesome plugin. I am not critical, I am just trying to find a resolution to the matter which in turn is going to make Polylang compatible with another popular theme.

Just to close this issue, the Story developers solved it and it will be incorporated in the next update.

    Thank you.

Thank you so much for your feedback, it’s a good news.
Did you tell you which was the problem?

I replaced a piece of code they gave me in their mega-menu functions. They added a check if(is_admin()). Why that works, beats me really
