Storytime v1.0.2 template is missing the display custom header code in header.php to display the header image.

The workaround for my website was to create a child theme, copy the header.php file from storytime, remove the existing code for “site-branding”, and paste in the display custom header code from the WordPress developer website.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Greetings!

I’m a bit confused about “Doesn’t display Custom Header Image” because the theme has this code in place, otherwise the splash page would not be able to show anything.

Were you wanting this to display on every page? The reason I ask this is that it’s used only for the splash entry page (front page splash template).

For inner pages, if you wanted a specific image to be seen on every page, the best solution would be to use the image widget in the “Banner” sidebar position.

Interesting approach. I will continue to use my child theme then. Thanks for responding.

You are very welcome. At least with a child theme, this gives you a lot more flexibility if you decide to customize anything more with the theme. One of the benefits, of course, is that you can still receive theme updates.
