Strange 1 local backup version kept

  • Hello,

    I use BackWPup free version on several wordpress sites and it works perfectly on all.
    Except on one particular where it keeps only 1 backup version on local drive, while it manage correctly the requires number on the ftp site.
    I wonder how to understand/debug that behavior ?

    Only difference I see is the theme used on that site is Neve without child, while other sites uses Suffice in child setup.

    please help me check the job -> to:Folder, you will see the File Deletion option there, I think for some reason the file deletion was set to 1.

    Hello,

    I did check this and both Local Folder and FTP tab are set to 15 files to keep.

    It is executed corectly on FTP, but not on local files.

    hmm so that strange, could you please ask them to host or check again just in case there is a script running that automatically delete BackWPUp’s backup files in the server?

    Hello,

    I did activate debug log, but nothing is shown regarding purge of old versions files.

    By the way I have a second site showing same behavior, which keeps only last backup version on local directory (but manages correctly remote ftp repositary).

    hmm I really have no idea about the case, was thinking if there is a kind of running script that automatically delete files or another plugin do that :/

    How to activate a more detailled Backwpup debug log during local file or ftp management ?
    This to check if/how it is Backwpup which is deleting those files.

    Anyone listenning here ?

    I have found the behaviour which seems to trigger the issue.

    I did reduce the scope of files to backup in order to reduce the zip file size below ~500Mb and this did solve the issue.

    I will follow up ow this is doing infutre and let you know.

    I confirm this unwanted behaviour of BackWPup.

    When BackWPup zip file size is above ~500Mb it deletes previous archive which exist in Local Backup Folder, but leaves the other below 500MB.
    This do not affect the FTP repositary.
