Strange 404 errors

    Hi there, me again (sorry – I’m beginning to feel like a pest)… I’m having a really odd & frustrating problem with intermittent 404’s and I just can’t figure out what’s going on.

    So, I’m running BuddyBoss & this is the setup of my site:

    Homepage -> Assigned to BB Forum
    Blogroll -> Assigned to “Blog” page
    Classifieds -> Assigned to “Classifieds” page

    When I go into AWPCP, click pages & save, everything works fine (and works fine for most of the day). However, when I come back to the site the next morning, the blogroll & the AWPCP classifieds page both present a 404 error. The odd thing is that the error is fixed once again by going to AWPCP, clicking pages & clicking save.

    Is there something in AWPCP that is resetting the links at some random interval? I just can’t for the life of me figure it out. I even checked the .htaccess against each other when it happened & they were identical.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Sorry that you ran into issues here!

    Something like is going to be best resolved by trying a conflict test.

    Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with AWPCP, which may help pinpoint the issue: https://awpcp.com/forum/faq/how-to-test-for-plugintheme-conflicts/

    You’ll need to try this starting with just AWPCP, and then adding some of your other things into the mix. Eventually, you’ll find that the combo of AWPCP + something will cause the issue, and then report back here…
